When I posted out a few days ago about waxing myths there
was one that I had never thought about and may be affecting a very small amount
of waxing clients so it’s worth drawing your attention to as its really food
for thought.
I have a lot of clients including myself who suffer from
very dry skin and when I researched dry skin it also said the sufferers were
more likely to have dry brittle hair either on their head or on their body.
If I am waxing dry brittle weak hair there is more
opportunity for it to break rather than it come out from the root and this over
a prolonged period of time will not slow the hair grow or produce all the plus
sides of being waxed regularly.
So if you’re a client that suffers from dry skin maybe moisturising
and changing your diet may produce healthy strong hair that is more effective when waxed and
then you will reap the benefit of decreased hair growth
It’s very rare that clients don’t see a reduction – others
factors that can increase growth in body hair are pregnancy, hormonal changes,
medications etc
Also irregular waxing with long gap in between each waxing
appointments and shaving in between will only promote hair growth L
Every day is a school day!
